This hotel was beautiful, we stayed in one of the feature rooms and I can honestly say it's one of the best hotels I have stayed at. The room was huge, well decorated and spacious. There was an incident while checking out- a couple complaining/shouting at Staff members for a mess up in rooms... I would like to mention that the staff handled the situation very well and politely...great job in such a difficult situation. Only downfall I would say is that when we went for breakfast in the hotel we came back about 30mins before checkout time and our room key didn't work and was told to go to reception to access our room again with all of our belongings in it. Other than that i can't fault the place! 100% recommend this place, great location, fantastic Staff and beautiful rooms with ghd equipment!

Stayed here for our one year wedding anniversary, the staff went over and above, giving us a bottle of fizz on arrival, had a great time. We never ate at the hotel, but we did have a few drinks there and the staff were great, the options plenty and they even had seats reserved for residents, so you are more likely to get a seat should you be staying there. The room was clean and the service staff pleasant and attentive, the check in was easy and there was no issues during our stay.

We stayed at The Scotman Hotel for our honeymoon and our experience was amazing. Our original suite didn't have moving air so they moved us to the Penthouse. All of the staff went above and beyond and made our stay magical. If you get a chance to visit, stop and have a conversation with Stephen and Ivort. They were extremely knowledgeable on Scotland culture and not to mention helpful with finding out the best places to go see.

We were there for cinema and brunch and my friend who has a food allergy? No problem, her brunch was taken away and replaced with one that was suitable. Service was very good and cheerful, food was quite tasty and plentiful only not enough time to enjoy eating it before the film started (although we did gobble it down) Not easy to get to the Scotsman because of all the work on the North Bridge but still it is the city centre so easy to find.

Can’t wait to return to the Scotsman again. The room was amazing, comfortable and clean. We arrived early and needed to store our luggage. The hotel was happy to accommodate and placed our luggage in our room once it was ready. We had breakfast the next morning which was very delicious and had many options. I needed gluten free modifications and the staff was very accommodating and friendly. The location of the hotel is perfect, very close to Waverly train station and the royal mile. They have incentives for booking direct with the hotel vs 3rd party - which are worth it. Highly recommend staying at this hotel!
